Palmolive Soft Touch, coming up a little soft!

 

I don't know, maybe I am the only one who wasn't SUPER impressed with this product, but I just didn't find anything about it to be so amazing that I will have to have it again!

I received these items from Influenster.com for testing and review purposes so when I checked the mail and found my delivery I was glad I had a couple dishes in the sink from lunch. (I know, I know...who is ever HAPPY to have dishes in the sink? LOL) I was required to keep one bottle for myself and to give one away to a friend. I was happy to do so and my sister was the recepient of the Vitamin E formula. That one is an adorable shade of pink and has a sort of citrus scent (almost a grapefruit aroma in my opinion)  This meant the Coconut Butter formula was mine, which also smelled delicious. It has a rich velvety feel and I was excited to try it out!  Anyhow, back to the dishes! I filled the sink with some warm water and a couple drops of Palmolive, I sloshed the water around to try to suds it up but to my chagrin, there weren't too many.  I shrugged and let the dishes to soak for a bit.

There was nothing to write home about here.  It is dish soap...it washes dishes!  I always soak my heavily soiled dishes and utensils and scrub off anything heavily soiled before I place them in the dishwasher, so I can't answer the complaint that some people have noticed a film on their "clean" items, but I honestly didn't see anything grand about Palmolive Soft Touch.

Yes, it smells very pretty, sure it isn't harsh on your hands and you won't have to wear any gloves to do the dishes but after a few uses my hands don't feel softer, or more moisturized than if I had used Dawn, Ajax or even Sun liquid dish soap. 

I will give Palmolive Soft Touch one big plus! I used it to clean my makeup brushes and it did wonders! Didn't leave the brushes feeling dried out or frayed and they still smelled nice and felt soft after they dried.  At least I know I can use this for that and so I would recommend it to a friend for that purpose, but I can't say I was thrilled with it's original purpose. :-/ MEH
